CSI crate: popular culture makes for popular math.

Forensic science is a hit in popular culture. CSI: Collision Scene Investigation brings this popularity to math learning.

Designed for grade 10 but also suitable for grade 9 mathematics, the crate puts students in the role of a collision reconstructionist. Students examine the nature of relations and functions, while employing the scientific principles and mathematical practices used at present-day collision scenes. The crate was developed under guidance from the police service.
