Aboriginal Ways of Knowing: Lessons from the Sky

In seven beautifully illustrated activities students will use models and stories to develop their understanding of astronomical objects in the sky. Students will learn about the motion and characteristics of stars, and the Moon; explore the rela tive position and motion of objects in space; and model seasonal cycles and phases of the moon. As part of Science Alberta Foundation's Ways of Knowing series, this crate honours Aboriginal perspectives in the study of science.
